Diane Thornton is currently the Director of Planned Giving at the University of St. Thomas where she started in 2001. In addition to her service to the Planned Giving Council of Houston, Diane is a Foundation Trustee for a local private high school, on the Board for Houston Area Panhellenic, a sustaining member of Junior League Houston, and an active volunteer with Girl Scouts. She has served on several development committees as a volunteer, and is a past PTO President. She continues to enjoy her role as Volunteer Chair for Girl Scouts travel destinations program for girls, hoping to travel on one of those exciting adventures one day. She worked in financial services for many years before coming to UST.
Diane received her BBA in Finance from the University of Texas and completed her Certified Financial Planner designation while in Kansas City working in financial services handling life insurance, retirement accounts, annuities and client investments. She is currently in the MBA program at the University of St. Thomas.
Diane has been married for almost twenty-five years and has three daughters.
